Wine trolley in the Santa Maria Valley

Just in time to see the beautiful vineyards changing into their autumnal hues, the Santa Maria Valley Wine Trolley is “wine”-ding down. Each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 16th, the trolley makes a round through the Santa Maria Valley, stopping at a few of the most well-liked wineries. Passengers can board and depart at their convenience on this trip, which departs from Costa de Oro and takes about 60 minutes to complete. During the hour-long ride, you’ll see stunning vistas of the valley and full-flavored wine varieties that will keep you wanting more. Experience #SantaMariaStyle, a fresh weekend variation.

Santa Barbara Urban Wine Trail

On the Santa Barbara South Coast, fall means colder weather (relatively speaking—we’re still in California!), changing foliage, and the start of the wine harvest. At these vineyards along the Urban Wine Trail, savor award-winning tastings from the hills of Santa Barbara County’s renowned wine region.

Sip San Simeon

You can reach hundreds of local vineyards in just 45 minutes thanks to its central location midway between Paso Robles Wine Country and SLO Coast Wine Region. Take a day journey north or south to discover wine experiences, tours, and tastings, or use the San Simeon Tasting Room at Hearst Ranch Winery. There is no better location to toast California wine than across from the famous Hearst Castle, which overlooks a lovely bay.

Harvest Season in Paso Robles

Some of our favorite wine events of the year are here with the arrival of harvest. Throughout the month, many events are held at various wineries. Look for events like music festivals, winemaker dinners, grape stomping, and specialist tours. During October, Paso Robles Wine Country’s weather is known for its outstanding weather, with warm days and cold evenings. This makes it the ideal time to enjoy the breathtaking hues, sights, and fragrances of harvest.

Morgan Hill Annual Wine Event

Discover one of California’s earliest premium wine-producing regions on October 23rd as you celebrate harvest at the annual Vine to Wine Event. Between the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Diablo Range, the Santa Clara Valley is a hidden gem wine region with a variety of microclimates ideal for numerous wine varietals. Try award-winning wines that have been expertly created by European winemakers with decades of experience.
