Lupita Infante, a Mexican American singer-songwriter and the granddaughter of the iconic Pedro Infante — Mexico’s most beloved singer and actor from the golden age of Mexican cinema — is part of an emerging generation of contemporary artists working to remake ranchera traditions for Millennial and Gen Z fans. Her debut album, “La Serenata,” was nominated for both a Latin Grammy and a 2021 Grammy. Lupita will perform songs from her new album “Amor Como En Las Películas De Antes” (Love like in the movies of before) her new album with Sony Music. Inspired by Lupita’s admiration for the golden age of Mexican cinema, it is an eclectic mix of new songs that honors both traditional and new Mariachi, breaking the generational barrier and making it distinctly her own all at once.
