Roaring Camp, located 90 miles/128 km south of San Francisco in the picturesque mountains of Santa Cruz, resembles a 1880s Western town surrounded by 150 acres of California Coastal Redwood forests. Two historic railways offer spectacular views of the giant redwoods: a steam train to Bear Mountain or a beach train to Santa Cruz on the Monterey Bay. A chuck wagon barbecue is open during summer months for outdoor picnics.
