Take a leisurely walk to the site where the town of Loma Prieta was cocated and the hidden spot deep in the redwood forest where marine fossils can be found. You will encouter the remains of the old lumber mill, follow the trail of the ghost trestles, and learn about the wonders of giant redwoods and their survival. Wear sturdy shoes and a hat. Please bring water, snacks and layers since the forst can be chilly in the morning. Children must be 10 years or older. Meet at Georges Picnic Area near the Winter Gate.
