Combining plein-air painting and live sculpting with exhibits, sales and lots of live music, the Carmel Art Festival takes over Devendorf Park for three days. Artists create their exhibition paintings outdoors on Wednesday and Thursday all around the Monterey Peninsula, bringing them to Devendorf Park on Friday afternoon for judging. The public can view and purchase these and other newly created paintings through Sunday. Weekend events also include Sculpture-in-the-Park, Kids-make-art day, and live music each day. On Sunday morning, winning artists engage in a Quick Draw competition with the results being sold via Silent Auction.
