50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love

People from all over gathered together 50 years ago for the first commercial American rock festival and the cornerstone event marking the Summer of Love. The Monterey Pop Festival has been credited for changing music history and later becoming the inspiration for subsequent music festivals including the Woodstock Music Festival. Harvest@Night is a new Beer, Food & Wine Fest hosted at Gilroy Gardens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in November. As you stroll through the park's 26 acres, you'll enjoy gourmet food, craft beers and fine wines, and live entertainment. Rides will not be running during Harvest@Night. While children are always welcome, this evening experience is intended for adults 21 and over.

The holidays come alive at the Reagan Library! Tour through a winter wonderland featuring 25 trees decorated to celebrate the defining moments of America, from the Revolutionary Era to today. Each tree reflects the life and times of American society and culture during each decade between 1700 and 2010 and beyond, thus tracing the evolution of America. Also on display is a collection of beautiful hand-crafted Menorahs that were given to President Reagan while in the White House.

Santa Cruz Holiday Lights Train

November 24-25, December 2-3, 9-10, 16-23, 2017. Join a seasonal tradition in Santa Cruz by bringing the family to ride the evening Holiday Lights Train. Christmas at Cannery Row

Monterey’s Cannery Row kicks off the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and the arrival of Santa Claus on November 24th. Visit Santa’s reindeer, enjoy Christmas Carolers and balloon artists before meeting Santa Claus at Steinbeck Plaza. This event is from 5:00-8:30pm and is FREE. Santa Claus will also be in his workshop on Cannery Row every Saturday and Sunday through December 17th.

Cambria Pines Lodge hosts the Cambria Christmas Market Nov 24 - Dec 23. The Market will be closed Nov 27-28, as well as Dec 4, 5 and 11. Holiday Tree Lighting & Party, Carmel-by-the-Sea
