SLO Repertory Theatre presents, The Intermission Show

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Every Friday through April 2, enjoy San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre for their video talk show series: The Intermission Show. Hosted by executive director, Kevin Harris, The Intermission Show is sure to add some fun and inspiration to your week. These 15-20 minute video segments share the work of BIPOC theatre makers, spotlight playwrights and plays from around the country, and update the local theatre community with news.

History Center of SLO County presents, Carnegie Lectures: The Quick and the Dead

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Join Pete Kelley, prominent local author and historian, as he discusses his new book “The Quick and the Dead” on March 5. The book explores the events of 1858 in San Luis Obispo when seven Californio men were hanged. Enjoy this event for free on Zoom as Kelley explores the unanswered questions of this time.

Drive-in Symphony: Romantic Classics

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Enjoy San Luis Obispo Symphony’s upcoming event, Romantic Classics from the comfort of your own vehicle at the Sunset Drive-In in San Luis Obispo on March 6. Fun for all ages, this drive-in experience allows attendees to be “on stage” with the symphony’s musicians. For those who are unable to attend the Drive-In event, Romantic Classics will become available online through the Virtual Event Series.

Discovering Your Palate with Master Sommelier Bob Bath

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Join an insightful wine and food sensory seminar with Master Sommelier Bob Bath!  Tolosa Winery's Crush Pad will be turned into a classroom to explore three flights of wine that tell the story of Tolosa, the vintage, and Winemaker Frederic Delivert’s style. Because it’s best to learn by doing, each flight will include a paired appetizer by Chef Brett Stephens of High on the Hog. Two sessions on March 7; 11am-1pm or 3-5 pm.

2021 San Luis Obispo Film Festival

SAN LUIS OBISPO - San Luis Obispo Film Festival is back offering primarily virtual events from March 9-14. Fun for all ages, enjoy 111 presentations, including 30 feature films, 63 short films, and 18 music videos all from the comfort of your own home. The festival will also highlight local filmmakers through the Central Coast Showcase. Passes are now on sale for $60-$300.

Surf Nite At Sunset Drive-In

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Surf Nite in SLO. Come see a double-feature on the Super Big Screen at the landmark Sunset Drive-In! Brent Storm’s award-winning WHITE RHINO is a parallel story from the surfers and photographers who witnessed three historic swells that hit the shorelines of the South Pacific in 2011-2012. Commemoration Event: St. Francis Dam Disaster

HERITAGE VALLEY - Rancho Camulos Museum hosts a virtual presentation commemorating the March 12, 1928 St. Francis Dam Disaster with special guest panelists, Jon Wilkman, author of Floodpath (Amazon 2016 Book of the Year) and Ann Stansell, historical researcher and archeologist. Artist-in-Residence Event

CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA - Art Reception, Live Painting & Mural Unveiling at Hofsas House. Local folk artist Marie-Clare Treseder Gorham’s distinctive aesthetic incorporates medieval themes and iconography. She recently created the Carmel Shell mural in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Gorham is the artist-in-residence at Hofsas House, a uniquely decorated, boutique inn, where she creates custom art. The art-themed reception includes Gorham showcasing her first project of creating room décor for Room 36, plus wine and custom culinary creations by Chef Ben Spungin of Alta Bakery.

Drive Monterey

MONTEREY - The extremely popular Road Rally Series, Drive Monterey, has returned for 2021!  Set off on beautiful routes with fun stops along the way. This is a monthly event and most Drive Monterey rallies include lunch, wine tasting, and other interesting stops. The first Drive event is on April 3 and will include a lap around the famed Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca!

VENTURA - In different times, creative adjustments. Runners can run a marathon -- from the town of Ojai (downhill) to the beaches of Ventura -- a half marathon, or a 5K (along Ventura’s beachfront). How? Using the organizers’ app (it provides course maps, your pace and more), or your own GPS device, you run the course any time during the open window of days they provide.

27th Annual Avila Beach Blues Festival

AVILA BEACH - A landmark Central Coast event highlighting top name entertainment. This is the party that kicks off the outdoor concert season! With VIP, Beach Club Balcony, reserved theater-style and table seating and General Admission Lawn tickets available for sale. Gates open at noon and the show will start at 2PM and continue until sunset! Seven Sisters Quilt Show

SAN LUIS OBISPO - The Seven Sisters Quilt Show features a display of hundreds of quilts and garments showcased by members of six Central Coast quilt guilds. The show provides educational judging for the participants and sponsored monetary awards. Attendees can vote for their favorite quilt, challenge quilt and garment.
