Hollister Independence Rally 2016

The Hollister Rally began in 1947. It’s believed to be the event that gave rise to the “American Biker” and was the inspiration for the powerful 1953 cult classic movie, “The Wild One”, starring Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin. The cast, adorned in leather jackets, introduced hipster biker phrases to movie audiences and defined biker fashion for decades to come. Ventura County Fair

The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, when the primary focus of the fair was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II. Wings Over Camarillo

With the feeling of an old time barnstorming air show crossed with a big party, the Wings Over Camarillo Air Show has something for everyone from ages 2 to 92. This year’s airshow includes aerobatic performances from Vicky Benzing, classic warbirds from the CAF and John Collver, military aircraft, experimental aircraft, antique cars and motorcycles, helicopter and airplane rides, War Veteran’s Tent, WWII re-enactment camp, VIP Chalet tent, as well as a variety of food and street vendors.

Aloha Beach Festival

Part surf contest, Frisbee competition and music festival, the event is the brainchild of Chipper "Bro" Bell, a 12-time world Frisbee champion, surf instructor and customer service representative for the Patagonia clothing company. Mixed into the surf and Frisbee competition was some Hawaiian aloha spirit, meaning, according to Bell, kindness, unity, modesty and patience.

Christmas Tree Lane

In 1992, the nearby City of Ventura’s residents of Candy Cane Lane (Teloma Drive) decided to pass the torch of the well-known Ventura County tradition to Oxnard's ‘F’ street. Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade

More than 65,000 spectators line State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara each year in anticipation of Santa Barbara’s only nighttime parade, the 64th Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade. The parade begins at 6:30 PM at State and Sola Streets and concludes at Cota Street. 21st Annual Santa Maria Parade of Lights

The Santa Maria Parade of Lights is presented by The Rotary Clubs of Santa Maria & Nipomo, the Santa Maria Times and KCOY. Floats, bands, dancers, nonprofit organizations and other community groups will travel up Broadway from Stowell Road to Main Street for the parade, drawing approximately 2,500 participants, 250 community volunteers, local city and law enforcement personnel, and more than 100 Rotarians who have helped make the Christmas Parade of Lights a signature event for the Santa Maria Valley.

55th Annual Old Town Orcutt Annual Christmas Parade

Western Monarch Day

The event is from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Louis de Montfort Church in Orcutt, Calif. Money will be raised for the Knights of Columbus youth and scholarship programs. In addition to cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years, makes and models, there will be a vendor fair, live music by Joe Daddy & The Sumthins, food and drink and a drawing.

117th Annual Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament

The Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament is only one of a multitude of activities that tennis fans and visitors can partake in while visiting Ojai, an idyllic destination for those who know the more intricate settings of Southern California. Spectators will enjoy the best that tennis has to offer in the largest tennis tournament in the United States. The tournament features juniors, college and Pac-12 teams.

30th Annual Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival

The festival supports local agriculture and encourages the healthy indulgence of strawberries, all in a fun-filled, three-day weekend community event. Festival gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. The carnival may stay open until midnight. Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for youth 6-11 years old, $7 for seniors 62 years old and above, and children under 5 years old are free. Carnival unlimited daily ride wristbands are $30 each.

Annual Run & Walk in the Name of Love

"Run in the Name of Love" is a scenic road race held annually on Father's Day.
